About the challenge
Build Smth is a fast-paced AI-native hackathon at UC Berkeley where you turn a half-formed idea into a working product — in a single afternoon. No pitch decks, no wireframes. Just build.
Requirements
📦 Submission Requirements
All teams must submit by 6:30 PM sharp. No exceptions. We recommend starting your submission before 6:15 PM so you have time to fill everything out.
Top 10 demos will be selected around 7:00PM and each team gets 3 minutes to present their product.
Required:
* Demo video link — Record a 2-3 min walkthrough of your project. We recommend Loom (free, easy screen recording). ⚠️ Download and test Loom before the hackathon starts so you're not scrambling at the end.
* GitHub repo URL — Your project must be built during the hackathon (5/9). If you're building on an existing product, clearly state what was added during the day.
* Sponsor track selection — Choose which track(s) your project applies to. You can select multiple. All projects are considered for the general track
Optional:
* Live production link — If your project is deployed and accessible, drop the URL.
